This week in the nursery classes:

The M-W- F students are happy to be back in class after an unexpected week off!

We are ending our shape unit with stamping rectangles, making a shape wagon and completing a shape book. We will review all our shapes using our shapes wheels and playing “I Spy Shapes” in the classroom. Have fun discovering different shapes in the environment.

Groundhog Day is right around the corner , so we will be creating a groundhog with our footprint. We will also be a making a groundhog named Gregory to hang on the window, so we can see if he spots his shadow. We will be making shadows on the wall of the classroom using the light from a film projector.

Stories we will be reading:

Brown Rabbit’s Shape Book by Alan Baker, Gregory’s Shadow by Alan Freeman, The Little Red Sled by Tisha Hamilton and Bear Shadow by Frank Asch.

Jesus Time:  Jesus, the children’s friend and Jesus grew as I grow!
