“Mr. and Mrs. Square Bear”

Last week we had a visit from Nurse Angela who taught us how important it is to wash our hands to keep the germs away. She also taught us to sneeze in our elbow and use a tissue for a runny nose.

This week we got to visit the chapel for Jesus time and Mrs. Funfgeld talked to us about things that make us happy and sad. She said that even when we are sad, knowing that we have Jesus in our heart will always make us happy.

We are finishing our shape unit this week by making a shape wagon using all of the shapes we have learned. We will then start our number unit and start making a fun number book.

Even though it has been so cold outside, we have been building sandcastles… in our sand table!

We are reading some stories about winter weather and animals that hibernate. A Silly Snowy Day by Michael Coleman is a cute story about a tortoise who ventures out in the snow and finds out how “ridiculous” is is for a tortoise to be out in the winter!

Reminder that this Friday the 24th is Parent/Teacher conferences and there will be no school for all ECC classes.
