Happy New Year! Welcome back to school!

We would like to thank all the families that generously donated baby items for the New Life Center. The children enjoyed putting their donations in the bassinet in celebration of baby Jesus’ birthday.

This week we will try to stay warm as we start our shape unit. We begin the unit making a circle snowman and stamping circles. We played I Spy circles in the classroom and found many different and interesting circles! We are learning two new movement to music songs called Around in a Circle, in which you make many sized circles using your body parts and Building a Snowman.

Our Stories for the week are:

What is Round? by Tana Hoban , Round & Round & Round by Rebecca Dotlich, All You Need for a Snowman by Alice Schertle and The Biggest Snowball Ever by John Rogan.

Jesus Time: Chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday with Deacon Funfgeld. We will hear the story of the 3 Wise Men.

The tricycles are in the MPR and we are having so much fun riding on the “brown road”.

Next shape to discover is the square.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Friday, January 24th. Please check the class bulletin board for a sign up sheet.
