Jesus Bingo

Last week our class was able to use the school Nooks for many fun and educational activities. We read a story together on the nook, practiced what we have been learning in grammar, learned about money and even played some games during our recess time. The students were so intrigued by the Nooks and they were very disappointed when they were not in our classroom anymore on Monday! We are looking forward to using them again in the spring. The students also wrote their very own Christmas songs last week. They used familiar tunes and changed the words to make the songs their own. This one here is a simple reminder of what this season is all about!

Here’s a look at what we will be learning this week!

Math– We are finishing up Module 3 this week by modeling 1 more, 1 less, 10 more and 10 less, and 100 more and 100 less. Then the students will practice completing number patters. They will take a test on Module 3 on Thursday.

Reading- We will be reading Christmas in Camelot from the Magic Tree House series together as a class. The students will not be tested on this story.

LA- The students will learn how to combine sentences using verbs and how to place commas in dates.

Science- We will be learning how people grow and change and how people are different from one another.

SS– The students will learn about slavery and the fight for freedom.

Religion- The story of “David Helps Mephibosheth” will help us explore how we can be loving instead of selfish.
