The Halls are Alive with the Sound of Music
At Trinity Lutheran, you know that Christmas is coming soon! All you have to do is use your ears! Choirs are singing, bells are ringing, orchestras are rehearsing, and bands are all playing CHRISTMAS MUSIC! This year, make it a part of your Advent Season to come celebrate the birth of Christ with music at Trinity. We are planning many Christmas events, so grab your calendar and jot down these dates:

MANY, MANY, MANY THANKS to Mrs. Damaris Mejia (KA,4AA) for organizing our annual school-wide Thanksgiving Feast. Many thanks also to all her helpers who set up, served and cleaned up, as well as donated desserts and drinks to the classes, at a time so close to their own Thanksgiving preparations. Your willingness to volunteer truly makes Trinity a caring place!
THE TIME HAS COME! Our Barnes and Noble Book Fair will be held this Saturday, December 7th, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Banes & Noble store on Old Country Road in Carle place. Come to purchase some Christmas gifts while listening to Trinity students play holiday music during your shopping. Please also take some time to enjoy our students’ artwork on display. As you check out your purchases, please tell the clerk you are a member of Trinity so our school receives a portion of the profits.
NOOK TABLET RAFFLE – The last day to purchase raffle tickets for the Nook tablet is this Thursday, December 5th. NO tickets will be sold at Barnes & Noble. The winner will be chosen that afternoon, but need not be present to win. Additional tickets are available in the school office.
PHOTO RETAKES will be taken Wednesday, December 11th. If you want retakes, please be certain to return the entire original photo packet. If your child was absent on the original photo day and you need an order form, please contact the school office. Club photos and sports team photos will also be taken on Wednesday, the 11th.
HO HO HO!!! SANTA SHOP IS HERE! Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week our students will be able to choose small gifts for family and friends from our Santa Shop. The flyer with an attached money envelope went home last week. If you have time to volunteer to help the younger students with their purchases, kindly email Renee Requena at [email protected]. Proceeds from the Santa Shop will be given to needy families to brighten their holidays.
CHRISTMAS TRIP – On Thursday, December 19th, Trinity’s Middle School students will travel into New York City via the L.I.R.R. to see The Christmas Story.
CHRISTMAS TREE SALE – If you are looking for a fresh Christmas tree, try Trinity’s Christmas Tree Sale, located on W. Cherry Street, behind the school playground. You won’t be disappointed! Sale hours are 6-9 pm Monday through Friday, and 9am – 9 pm Saturdays and Sundays. The trees have arrived and are awaiting for your approval.
ADVENT SERVICES – As we await the arrival of Christmas, Trinity offers midweek Advent services on the following Wednesdays: December 4th, 11th and 18th at 7:15 pm. Do join us as we prepare for the celebration of Christ’s first coming many years ago.
