Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families,
Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:
ELA: In ELA we will be reading our next class Read-Aloud, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. There will be a Spelling Test on 6-5. In grammar we will continue learning about adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. In writing we will finish our unit on narrative stories. We will also continue our Flat Stanley Narrative Writing.
Math: This week in math we begin our last official module, module 21 solve problems with time and measurement. This is a short module. There will be a quiz on Friday 5-30. We will also be completing an Elapsed Time project where students must plan a day at the zoo. This will be completed in class, and will be counted as a test grade. As always it is important to continue to review fact fluency at home to reinforce the skills taught in school. As always helpful videos and resources can be found on Google Classroom.
Religion: This week we will be learning about the miracles of Jesus. We will be completing a Miracles of Jesus Triorama, which will be counted as a test grade, and will be due on 5-27.
Social Studies: We will finish Ch. 6, Social Change and the Civil War. There will be a Chapter 6 test on Wednesday 5-21.
Science: This week we will finish the unit of science, Energizing Everything. There will be a science test on 5-29. A review sheet will be completed this week. Students will also continue working in groups to build their own chain reaction machines.
