Dear Parents,
We had so much fun last week learning about insects, specifically ladybugs. We also learned about the amount of rain that comes in April and why we need rain. We made fun raindrop and flower crafts. We will continue talking about insects this week, specifically bees. This week we will learn the letter “I” for Insects. The children will learn to recognize, trace, and sound out the letter “I”. We will work on a scholastic and learn about garbage collection. This will lead into our discussion about Earth Day.
For religion, we will learn about Palm Sunday. Our class is leading chapel on Wednesday. The children will sing “Hosanna” and “Do You Know Who Died for Me” to teach the other classes about Jesus’ march into Jerusalem. We will also make Palm Leaves and have a march on Friday in our hallways to symbolize Jesus going to Jerusalem.
We have been learning the true meaning of Easter. Take a minute to ask your child a few questions about Easter. They will be so happy to tell you all about how Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins. They love saying that Mary Magdalene say the empty cave. They say “We can’t keep Jesus shut in the grave” and they understand that Jesus rose again on Easter Day.
We look forward to seeing you at our Easter Program on April15th at 9am.
Have a Blessed Day!
Miss Seleena and Miss Ava
