Dear Parents,
We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. We missed the children very much and we are so excited to get back into the swing of things! Before break we learned the letters “X” for X-Ray and “V” for Valentine. We also learned about Martin Luther King and Louis Armstrong for Black History Month.
The letter for this week will be “K” for Kindness. The children will learn to recognize, trace, and sound out the letter “K”. Continuing with Black History Month, will learn about Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to go into space. We will start to talk about the end of winter and the start of spring, learning about the change in weather through the phrase “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb”.
For religion, we will learn about Jesus teaching all about the birds and flowers. We will make bird feeder bracelets with fruit loops and give them to Pastor to hang outside his office.
All library books are due back on Thursday/Friday and new books will be borrowed on those days.
Have a Blessed Day!
Miss Seleena and Miss Ava
