Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! Due to my absence from school at the end of last week, the dates for several tests announced last week will be changing. Please see below for details.
6th Religion
The test on Unit 3 will still be this Friday, February 14th. The students received the review last week, and we will go over it and make corrections on Monday.
6th Social Studies
The students have been working on researching Ancient African Kings and Queens, and they will present those projects in class this week.
7th Religion
The students will have their test on Unit 3 this Friday, February 14th. We will start reviewing on Monday.
7th Social Studies
Seventh grade will wrap up Topic 5 by learning about the presidency of James Monroe. Then, they will begin their Topic 5 review. The test will be Tuesday, February 25th, after we return from Winter Recess.
8th Religion
The test on Unit 3 has been postponed to Tuesday, February 11th. We will do some extra review together on Monday. Then, we will get into learning about Solomon’s Temple.
8th Social Studies
In social studies, we will be studying the end of World War I this week, especially focusing on the impact of the African American soldiers who served alongside the French army. Then, we will study Wilson’s peace plan and the Treaty of Versailles. The main point of the final lesson in the unit is that this failed treaty led directly into World War II. The students will receive their Topic 12 review at the end of this week, and the test will be Tuesday, February 25th, after we return from Winter Recess. Also, if you have not yet returned your child’s permission slip for our upcoming trip to the Anne Frank exhibit, please send those in by this Thursday, February 13th.
