Last week, we discovered more about the science of ice. We conducted frozen water experiments and we made ice cream. This week, we will enjoy more winter weather themed literary experiences. We will discuss how both people and animals are able to stay warm outside when the weather is cold. Our science experiment this week will explore how an animal’s fur and a person’s cold weather clothing keeps them warm. We will read various retellings of the Ukrainian folktale, “The Mitten” and enjoy several related activities. We will also learn about Lunar New Year, number 14, the letter Pp and Groundhog’s Day as well. Our Voyages religion lesson this week is “Jesus Visits the Temple.”
