Important Information
Thank you to everyone who participated in our church service celebrating Lutheran Schools this past Sunday. The children sang beautifully. I was so proud of them!
We are participating in Nassau County’s Valetines for Veterans, We will be creating Valentine’s Day cards thanking veterans for their service.
Band has started for a few of our classmates. Please remember to bring your instrument to school for both lessons and band rehearsal.

Math: We have finished our unit on Multiplication and Division. This week we are starting Module 9 in Math. It focuses on addition and subtraction strategies.We will also continue to practice our multiplication and division facts.

Social Studies: This past week we read books about famous African Americans. We took notes and this week we will finish presenting our information on a graphic organizer which we will display in the hallway. We are also going to be learning about the Civil Rights Movement and lunch counter sit-ins through the read aloud Abby Takes a Stand by Patricia McKissack.
Science: Students are continuing to analyze data from dinosaur fossils in order to provide evidence about the appearance and behavior of those dinosaurs when they were living. We will be in the STEAM lab this week investigating fossils.
Religion: It is National Lutheran Schools Week and we will be focusing on Hebrews 12:1-2. It helps us to remember to look to Jesus for faith and guidance when faced with challenges..
