Dear Parents,

This past week we learned about hibernation, the letter M, bears, and how animals sleep and eat during the winter. This week we will continue talking about hibernation and learn about groundhogs. The letter for this week will be “G”. The children will learn to recognize, trace, and sound out the letter “G”.  For religion, the children will learn about Jesus and his disciples. This is our last week saying our January prayer, “A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Thank you, Lord, for feeding me. H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Thank you, Lord, for being my friend. Amen”, a favorite in our classroom. If you haven’t already done so, please encourage your child to say the ABC prayer to you.

This week is Lutheran Schools Association Spirit Week. The theme is Endurance and we will be talking about what that means each day in class. We hope to see everyone participate in the fun themes we have for each day: Monday – pajama day, Tuesday – positive vibes day, Wednesday – dress your best day, Thursday – hero day, and Friday – sports day.

All library books are due back on Thursday/Friday and new books will be borrowed on those days. We will continue with a Mystery Reader each week. If you would like to be a Mystery Reader, please sign up on Class Dojo.

Have a great week!
