Hello, everyone! Happy National Lutheran Schools Week! I am so excited for all the activities and dress up days. What a blessing to celebrate alongĀ side thousands of other Lutheran schools and students across the country. Here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
This week we will learn about Rehoboam and Jeroboam splitting the kingdoms of Judah and Israel. For Lutheran Schools Week, the students will design a cross which will feature their favorite Bible verse. There is no memory verse this week.
6th Social Studies
On Monday, the students will present their projects on inventions from Ancient China. Then, we will begin reviewing for their test on Topic 5. The test will be on Friday.
7th Religion
This week the students will learn about how God protects us and blesses us. For Lutheran Schools Week, the students will design a cross which will feature their favorite Bible verse. There is no memory verse this week.
7th Social Studies
On Friday the students presented their Bill of Rights projects, which were phenomenal! It was such a blessing to see the students apply their creative talents to social studies. This week we will begin Topic 5, starting with the presidency of George Washington, and then how the nation split into political factions. We will end the week starting the Adams’ administration.
8th Religion
On Tuesday, the students will present their Calling All Workers career projects. For Lutheran Schools Week, the students will design a cross which will feature their favorite Bible verse. Then, we will study the lessons learned by King David and his relationship with Bathsheba. There is no memory verse this week.
8th Social Studies
This week we will look more closely at the yellow journalism that sparked the Spanish American War, and then we will study how the U.S. became a major power in Latin America. On Friday, we will start our study of World War I.
