READING- Our sound for this week is the short “i” sound at the beginning and in the middle of a word as in, “insect” and “Sid.” We will continue to practice rhyming, identifying story details, blending sounds to read words, and reviewing all high frequency words. Our new high frequency word is “said,” and our mini book is “Sid Said.” Continue to practice reading with your child to develop reading fluency.

MATH- I am completing the individual assessments for the first half of the Math module and will send home results as soon as possible.

RELIGION- Our Bible story will be the Ten Lepers. It’s message is giving thanks to the Lord which relates to Thanksgiving.

SCIENCE- We will continue with the topic from last week.

SOCIAL STUDIES- The friendship of the Pilgrims and Native Americans will be discussed as well as a study of the Native Americans who lived on the plains.

HANDWRITING- We will practice capital and lower case “I-i.”

JOURNAL- The feast was fun!
