Important Information

It was great seeing so many of you at Trunk or Treat this past Saturday. If you missed it this year,  hopefully you can attend next year.

Thursday is our Fall Party.  If your family celebrates Halloween, I wish you a happy Halloween.

There is no school on Friday. It is a Professional Development day. Enjoy the long weekend.

Academics

Math: This week we will continue to focusing on learning our multiplication facts, so please practice them with your child every day. We will also be exploring patterns on a multiplication chart.

ELA:  For Unit 2, Week 1 our essential question is “How do people make government work?” The following is a list of everything we will be covering in ELA, including our vocabulary.

Spelling:  We are focusing on long e: The words are heel, week, creek, free, green, street, freeze, seal, weak, bean, speaks, team, clean, cream, field, tight, tied, cute, sixteen, and peanut.

Grammar: We are learning about complex and run-on sentences.

Phonics:  Our focus will be on long a, long i, and long o words and phonograms.

Religion: In class, we are working on our Seasons of Gratitude file folder project. We are thinking of all the people, places, and things we are grateful for. When all the projects are complete, we will be hanging them in the hallway.
