Dear Parents,

We have an exciting week ahead. Please note that there is no school on Friday, 11/1/24 due to professional development classes for our teachers and staff. We have our Halloween/Orange/Fall theme week this week. We hope that your child participates:

  • Monday ~ School Spirit: Wear your Trinity T-Shirt and Halloween socks
  • Tuesday ~ Flannel Day: Wear your favorite fall flannel
  • Wednesday ~ Orange Day: Wear your favorite orange clothes
  • Thursday ~ Pajama Day: Wear your Halloween or Fall pajamas

On Wednesday, we will celebrate with an “Orange Party”. Thank you to the families who have signed up to donate treats for our party. Children can bring in goodie bags to give to their friends. Please remember that we are a NUT FREE classroom and we cannot give out candy/treats with nuts in them. We have 10 boys and 8 girls in our class.

This week we will learn the letter “H” for Halloween. They will learn how to recognize, sound out, and trace the letter “H.”  We will review the numbers and shapes we’ve learned to date in preparation to start our Math books the beginning of November. We will review the color orange this week as we do different experiments to show how red and yellow make orange. During centers, the children will continue to practice tracing by tracing shapes, numbers, letters, and their names. We will continue with our rice, pumpkin, and spider sensory bin theme.

During religious instruction this week, the children will learn about the birth of Moses. We will continue with our Thank you God prayer and signing “This Little Light of Mine”.

This Wednesday will be our last day selling ice-cream, for $2 each, during mid-day and afternoon dismissals to raise money to donate to Sloan Kettering for cancer research. We hope you will participate in our fundraiser by purchasing some. The message we are teaching this month, and always, is that we are all more alike than different and we should treat all our friends with kindness.

Important upcoming dates and reminders:
~ Friday, November 1st – NO SCHOOL for children (Teachers have Professional Development Day).
~ Please remember to label every article of clothing and supplies that you send in with your child.
~ Please remember to empty your child’s folder each day.

Have a Blessed Day!
