Dear Parents,

We have had an awesome couple of weeks learning all about apples. The children learned about the life cycle of an apple, they made apple presses, they played with apples and water in the sensory bin, and we had fun measuring our height with apples. The children enjoyed joining with Miss Sue’s class for an exciting science experiment – making apple volcanoes! We learned the letter A for apple.

This coming week is all about the Fall season. We will begin our science unit on colors, starting with the color red. We will learn about the letter F for Fall. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and trace the letter F. We will continue to discuss the changes that occur during the Fall season.

For religious instruction, we will discuss the seven days of God’s Creation and make our own creation book. We will go to chapel on Wednesday where the children will get a visit from Johnny Appleseed. We learned all about Johnny Appleseed, and the Johnny Appleseed prayer last week. We will continue to learn the song “Jesus Loves Me.” The children are learning how important it is to share with one another and to always be kind to our friends.

We look forward to a fun and educational week!
