Hello fabulous fourth grade families,

It was so wonderful to see so many of you at the parade on Monday! The Trinity Band sounded AMAZING! 

This week we will complete the end of the year assessments. Please ensure your child has a good breakfast, a good night sleep, and a pencil to ensure they do their very best! Below is the testing schedule for the week. 

Tuesday- Writing 

Wednesday- Reading and Grammar 

Thursday- Reading 

Friday- Math 

Below is what we will be focusing on this week! 

ELA: This week in ELA we will continue reading our final class read-aloud, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. We will begin to peer edit our fictional narratives, and begin the final draft process. There will be a spelling test on Thursday 6-6 from words from The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. IN grammar we will be learning about negatives. 

Math: This week in math we will begin Module 20- Relative Sizes of Metric Measurement. There will be a quiz on Tuesday, 6-4, but NO TEST for Module 20. Students will be given the conversion chart, and do not need to memorize the conversions. As always, please see the resources on google classroom. 

Religion: In Religion we will continue learning about the Parables of Jesus. 

Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue chapter 7- NY transforms. 

Science: In science we will begin our next unit of study- Energizing Everything. We will be looking at the question, How could you knock down a building using only dominos?
