Hello everyone! This week we have a four day week since we do not have school Friday for a PD. Reminders will be sent for that. We will still have our reading and spelling test this week. Please continue to check their green folders for any important notices or information.
Spelling – 3x each will be due Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Thursday this week. Our new spelling words this week are: cart, art, yarn, barn, arm, harm, happy, key, four, none
Math – We will continue our 8th module on data and graphing. The kids are really enjoying this module so far!
ELA – This week we will be learning about bossy R! When an R is behind a vowel it only says the “R” sound. All our words this week are “ar” . We will also be going over when we want to add “s” to a word that ends with “y”. We must drop the Y then add I. We will be learning about words that join thoughts such as “and”, “or”, “but”. Our new vocabulary words are trouble – to cause a problem and whole – complete. Our HF words this week are: four, large, none, only, put, round
Writing – We will be writing adjectives into our writing more. They have nailed down the correct grammar in a sentence and in a couple weeks we will begin to write our own stories with everything we have learned!
Social Studies – We are continuing our new unit this week.
