St. Patrick’s day is coming soon and our classroom is turning green to celebrate Irish culture.  This week, we will learn about the letter Rr, dance to the colors of the rainbow, count both shamrocks and leprechauns, and celebrate Irish culture through stories, dance and art.  Our play centers this week will include a few new play options, namely, a green grass and gold coin sensory station, a Celtic cross coloring / letter R writing station and a “Design your own Leprechaun Trap” building station.

This Friday, we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as a class.  Please wear your best green outfits.  We will enjoy tasting some fresh baked Irish soda bread along with a little Irish butter at snack time.  We will also learn about the legend of St. Patrick and about how St. Patrick used the shamrock to illustrate the Holy Trinity at Jesus Time.  The Holy Trinity is the three parts (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) that make up our one God.  We will praise God with the song, “Ho Ho Ho Hosanna!”
