Hi everyone! Welcome back from our three day weekend. Continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices. Set aside 10-15 minutes for them to read every night. This week is only a four day week so we have our reading and spelling test on Friday. Any questions or concerns let me know.
Spelling – 3x each is due Thursday and our spelling test is on Friday. Our words this week are: hope, rope, nose, cute, cube, nice, ledge, ago, people
Math – We will continue our module on addition and word problems. Our next math test will be January 31st. (Wednesday)
ELA – This week we will be focusing on long “u” and “o”. We will be learning about how “is” and “are” tell us the action is happening in the present tense. We also will review CVCe words. We will split the word in half where the syllable split is and focus on what the long vowel is on one side. For example “invite”. The syllable split is in-vite. The long vowel in is the “i”. Our HF words are: ago, boy, girl, how, old, people
Writing – We will be learning about compare and contrast with a venn diagram. We also will be learning about descriptive words to help our reading and writing better.
Science – We will be going back to Science and do our first lesson on plant traits and their offspring.
