I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and hopefully restful break! We are excited to begin learning again in 2024!
Joke of the Week: What’s a cow’s favorite night of the year?
Language Arts-This week we continue Unit 4 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, Who are your neighbors? We will read, What Can You Do with a Paleta? We will learn new sight words- “who” & “must” and we will focus on the letter Dd and the long and short a sound. We will continue to blend sounds to make a word and identifying the middle sounds in words. In grammar, we will continue to learn about adjectives and this week we will use numbers to describe.
Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will identify the beginning, ending and middle sounds to CVC words along with short i word families.
Math- This week we begin Module 8 – Represent Numbers 6 to 10 with Written Numerals.
Math Centers- We will continue to practice addition and subtraction problems and numbers 6 to 10.
Jesus Time- We will continue to read Ms. Vollono’s children’s Bible and read all the wonderful stories about Jesus and the powerful impact he had while on Earth! We will also watch videos and do activities to reinforce what we have read.
Science: This week we will continue to discuss why and which animals hibernate and migrate.
