We cannot believe we have just two days before our Christmas break! We have had a wonderful time decorating and preparing for Jesus’s birthday! We made meaningful ornaments, crafts and read the stories and watched videos of Jesus’s birth! Sparkle Joe or SJ has loved being in our class and will bid us farewell on Tuesday; he definitely enjoyed being in our classroom and reporting back to Santa! We are excited for the fun activities and crafts we have for these two days and then we will see everyone in the new year! 🙂
Joke of the Week: What do elves learn in school?
Language Arts- This week we will review many of our sight words and beginning and ending sounds in three letter words (CVC – consonant, vowel, consonant words).
Math- This week we will continue to review addition and subtraction problems.
Jesus Time- We will continue to learn about the reason for the Christmas season and read the stories leading up to Jesus’s birth. Each week we continue to “light” a candle on our advent wreaths and make crafts and watch videos to reinforce what we read.
Social Studies: We will discuss and watch videos on Christmas and the different ways people celebrate and the transportation methods they use to get to family and friends for the holidays.
Song of the week: Carolin’ by Francesca Battistelli
