Math 6

This week we are  starting a new chapter on statistics.  We will be learning about mean, median, and mode, as well as measures of variation (minimum, maximum, range, and outliers).  We will also be exploring quartiles and how to create a box and whisker plot.  We will be having a quiz on Wednesday, 12/13 on mean, median, mode, maximum, minimum, and range.

Pre-Algebra

This week we will be exploring rate of change (slope) word problems.  We will also be learning how to graph a line using slope intercept form (y = mx +b) and how to write an equation when given two points.  There are not any tests or quizzes this week.

Algebra

This rest of the week will focus on functions and finding the domain and range, as well as sequences.  We will be exploring explicit and recursive functions and how to apply them to regents questions.  There will be a quiz on Wednesday, 12/13 on the above mentioned topics.
