It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
The PreK Classes have been busy making Baby Jesus Nativity Scenes using their painted handprints, pasting on a glittered star and a cute little cut out of baby Jesus. If you stroll through the hallways you will see the sponge print poinsettia flowers created by Second Grade along with the tissue wreaths created by our First Graders. The Kindergarten class did an outstanding job on their Nativity Drawings and will be finishing up Reindeer Puppets before the Christmas vacation. Second Grade will enjoy making a Pop-up Christmas Tree card decorated with lots of BLING!
Students in Third Grade are working on a Christmas Scene using a Crayon Resist technique. Fourth Grade will be making a special picture for the Christmas holiday using oil pastels and watercolors. The Fifth Graders are creating Angel Pie Tin Sculptures which will illuminate from a battery operated votive candle.
Sixth Grade did a wonderful job drawing a Northern Lights Winter Scene 2024 Calendar using chalk pastels. Seventh Grade has been working hard drawing a cut off half of a Christmas card. They will have to use their analytical skills for adding all the details as well as color matching. Eighth Graders learned a little history about snow globes and are working on Snow Globe Drawings with a Theme! Finally, the Art Elective class finished out their 1st Trimester by matching up with a First Grader and helping them paste decorations on a felt Christmas tree.
Happy Holidays and Christmas Blessings to All!
