Hello Parents! First and foremost, thank you all for your continued support in our classroom. Our community workers week was so amazing because of all of you! A huge thank you to those who volunteered their time to come in and discuss your job with the class. I know all of the children had a blast and loved it so much. We also want to thank you for always being so generous. Everything that is sent in is so incredibly appreciated.
Important Dates and Reminders:
- Wednesday, 11/22 is our School-wide Thanksgiving Feast! All half-day children are invited to stay full day. If you chose to have your child stay, please private message me letting me know before Wednesday.
- There will be no school Thursday 11/23 and Friday 11/24 due to Thanksgiving Recess!
We are going to take a brief pause on part of our BigDay curriculum since this will be a short week filled with Thanksgiving festivities! Our school-wide feast will begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday 11/22. We will be having a Thanksgiving celebration after in our classroom. We will be enjoying homemade rice krispie treats we will make as a class that morning!
We will be reviewing shapes, creating a thankful booklet and finishing up our Thanksgiving placemats to use during our feast and at home. We will also be finishing up our self portrait project for the lunchroom. We will be reading the books “I’m Your Bus”, “Dig Dig Digging” and “ABC Drive!”. We will be recapping the short week in our Journals on Wednesday.
For music and movement, we will continue to sing our Thanksgiving song titled “Thank Him” and dance to a guided Turkey dance using GoNoodle.com. We will also continue to practice singing our Christmas Program songs since it is coming around the corner! More details regarding our program will be posted soon on our Classdojo. It is truly a beautiful program and Mrs. Maldonado and I can not wait!
For Jesus time, we will continue to sing our “Thank Him” song and continue to recite our new prayer for the month of November. Lastly, Mrs. Maldonado will teach our Jesus time curriculum, voyages 11: “David and Jonathan, Thank you for friends”.
