Last week we celebrated our pumpkin parties and talked about our feelings and what it means to feel scared. We discussed ways to cope when we feel scared.
This week, fall is in full bloom and we will be exploring the beauty of nature during the season of fall. We will explore the changes that the season of fall has brought and discover the life cycle of a deciduous tree. We will have natural materials like pinecones, acorns, sticks and rocks to touch and feel and describe using our five senses. We will conduct the sink or float test on these natural objects and record the results. We will learn to identify the colors of the fall and create beautiful art based on our observations of the fall trees and their leaves. Our songs this week include, “Autumn Leaves Are Falling Down” and “Fall Is Here.” We will praise God, who has created this beautiful world, full of beautiful nature, for us to enjoy.
