This week we will continue reading our novels and checking for comprehension and improving our writing. I introduced (reintroduced) our students to RACES (Restate, Answer, Cite, Explain, Sum up) as a method for self assessment and paragraph writing. In the google classroom, I posted some info on this as a reminder the students can use as a resource. Its a simplified way of writing a paragraph and expanding it into an essay that they can build off of.
Friday is our BOCES field trip, so it’s another short week!
The students were all assigned Unit 3 vocabulary on Friday and will have a quiz in class on 10/26. Please have the students study!
