This Week in Art
Our Preschoolers will be gluing pompoms on the sheep they made two weeks ago. We hope everyone enjoyed their day at the Pumpkin Farm. Kindergarten will be starting a unit on Self-Portraits. The First Grade will be finishing up their Poppies in Perspective drawings. Second Grade will make a Wild Thing Construction Paper Collage.
The Third Grade class did a phenomenal job drawing their sunflowers; all that’s left is to color in the background. Fourth Grade will be learning about SCALE in drawing/composition as they draw a landscape viewed from a bug’s perspective. The Fifth Grade class will enjoy a lesson on VALUE and the shades of gray. They will be using gray pastels to make a drawing.
Sixth Grade will be learning about the Impressionist artist G. Seurat and about applying his painting technique pointillism to their own paintings. The Seventh Grade will continue to work on their Split-face Self-portraits. Eighth Graders will enjoy using their fingerprints to create an original piece of art….to be continued. The Art Elective class will be making a glass votive candle holder with a Fall theme.
Keep Creating!
