Dear Parents,
This was a fun week learning all about bats and making bat crafts. We also read the book Stellaluna, by Janell Cannon. We learned how to sound out the letter Bb and practiced writing the letter. The children enjoyed working in their Scholastic Readers and learning all about the different colored Autumn leaves. We also went on a leaf hunt!
This week we will learn how to sound out the letter Cc for Cow. The children will reinforce their fine motor skills through the Cc tracing page. We will learn about different farm animals and the sounds they make, as well as sing some farm animal songs. The children will also make some fun farm animal crafts. This week we will take a trip to White Post Farms to see some of these animals.
We will continue learning about God’s creation (Week’s 5 & 6).
Reminders:
- October 16th – This is the last day for permission slips for our trip to White Post Farms on Thursday, 10/19
- October 19th – trip to White Post Farms (NO SCHOOL). Parent or guardian must accompany their child.
- October 20th – NO SCHOOL for Staff Development Day
- October 28th – 1pm – 3pm Trunk or Treat
- October 31st Class will wear Orange/Halloween Party
