Hello all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for all of the goodies that were sent in for the “Pumpkin Party”. We had so much fun!!

Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:

Spelling– The words for this week are: wet, red, then, pet, shed, hen.  The challenge words are: away, into, put, good.  The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework Monday night.  There will be a Spelling test on Friday.

Phonics– short /e/ sound, building words, short /i/ sound.

Language Arts– Unit 2 – Nouns

Reading: We will read the story “Splash!” on Tuesday.  The children will bring home their Reading book that night to read the story again at home.  The take home story this week is “Ben the Gem”.  The children should be able to read this story to you. There will be a Reading test on Friday.

Math– Counting on to find the unknown part, beginning of subtraction.

Religion– Read and discuss “Samson”

Science– Textbook review pages 44-45.
** There will be a Science test this Thursday(November 7) on Habitats, a notice will go home today. We finished the chapter last week. The review sheets will go home today. Please review at home!!

Social Studies– Lesson 4 – Learning about Earth: Weather & Seasons

Weekly Reader– “Gobble Gobble”

Encourage your child to READ every night to strengthen their skills.

Remember to send in your child’s pizza money by Thursday.
