Hello! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend! Here is what we will be learning this week and important notices. Please continue to check their take home folders every night for any important forms. I want to thank everyone for handing in the class party and field trip funds back so quickly. Spelling – Spelling will continue this week and for the rest of the year. Spelling homework 3x each is due on Wednesday in their “S” books. Spelling test will be on Friday. (10/6 before the field trip) Here are our week 2 spelling words – pin, win, hit, sit, miss, kiss, out, up
Math – We have our review day on Monday and our first Math test on Tuesday. (10/2) Homework is always sent back home with corrections as extra study material and they will take home their books on Monday.
ELA – We will read our new story that aligns with our spelling words, “Go Pip”. Through this week we will be working on short “i”. New HF words are in their S books as well. They will need to know these for their next reading test on Thursday. (10/5)
Writing – We our continuing to write in our journals. Students are practicing their handwriting, punctuation, and grammar.
Science – We are still exploring our first unit about Animal Superpowers through a fun activity where students will be able to get up and learn about camouflauge.
Important Dates – PTFA Miss Chocolate Fundraiser begins on 10/2 – PICTURE DAY on Monday – Dress Down Day (5$ to participate) and FAST Athletics on Friday – Nathaniels Birthday!
