Dear Parents,
We had a great week learning about apples, the color red, and the circle shape. The children learned about the life cycle of an apple and made apples for our community wall. We also made a delicious apple pie that many of the children loved. We enjoyed taking a virtual trip to an apple orchard and learned alot about the different types of apples and how they are grown. The children also enjoyed presenting their “All about me” posters in class. They are proudly hanging in our classroom.
This week we will be learning about transportation, the color yellow and the square shape. The children will make a school bus craft with yellow and black squares. We will also do some “Rainbow painting” with cars. The children love doing this activity. Our class will be going to the chapel this week for the first time. We are going to learn all about Johnny Appleseed! For religious instruction, we continue learning the Christian pledge of allegiance and “God Bless America.” .
We look forward to seeing you all on “Back to School Night” this Tuesday!
