I hope everyone enjoyed our first full week of school. We made a lot of great progress in learning the rules for school, how to sit pretzel legs and listen to a story, and walk in a straight line in the hallway. We also had a lot of fun planting apple seeds, making apple pie, and balancing apples on tubes!

This week the fun continues with our transportation topic, the color yellow, and the shape square. We will read stories including: I Am Your Bus, Go Dog Go, Yellowtime, and Pete the Cat and the 5 Little Ducks. We will paint with cars this week, make a shape school bus, and a sunflower. Our sensory table will be filled with corn kernels and yellow trucks, and we will have lemon scented yellow play dough to play with.

Our STEM activity this week will car races down a ramp.

For Jesus time this week we will visit chapel for the first time on Wednesday and have a special visit from Johnny Appleseed himself! We will also continue working on learning the Christian pledge, the Johnny Appleseed prayer, and God Bless America.

We will also have gym class for the first time upstairs in the big gym with Mr. Mallon on Wednesday.

This Friday please wear yellow, and would anyone like to volunteer to send in bananas for snack on Friday? Thank you in advance!

Lastly, I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday at 7pm for Back to School Night!

Have a wonderful, blessed week everyone!
