Welcome back to a new week! Here are the updates for my classes.
6th Religion
This week we will get into the birth and childhood of Jesus, which ties in to our study of the Roman Empire in social Studies. In the book of Luke, he sets the scene by telling us exactly who was in power at the time of Jesus’ birth, and we will talk about how timing is very important to God and His will. The memory verse for this week is Mark 1: 14-15.
6th Social Studies
This week, the students will be working on a Roman style architecture challenge. They are to bring in Legos on Tuesday, and they will be challenged to construct a Roman style arch, aqueduct, or domed building.
7th Religion
In seventh grade religion, we will begin a unit of prayer. This week we will focus on the fact that God hears us and indeed answers our prayers, and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. There is no memory verse this week.
