Hello Parents! I hope everyone had such a great time on our Aquarium Field trip! Mrs. Gonzalez and I loved being with you all and seeing your families. I know I probably say this often but I really can’t believe that we are in the home stretch. Time is flying by. I can’t even think about saying goodbye to our class.

We are continuing with Theme 7 and starting unit 2 “What’s in the Sky?” BIG Idea: I see how the sky is different during the day and at night. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their environment by investigating characteristics of the natural world. Social-Emotional Focus: Curiosity. The theme vocabulary words include: lighting, moon, sky, stars, sun and thunderstorm. Math vocabulary words include: flip, sphere, rhombus, turn and slide.
We will be learning the letter Zz, how to count by 10’s and reviewing numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will continue to do our weekly journals on Friday’s. We will be reading the books “Little Cloud”, “Mommy’s Little Star”, and “What the Sun/Moon Sees”. We also will continue to work on our Mother’s Day crafts. Please keep an eye on our Classdojo for any upcoming events and important news.
For Jesus Time, Mrs. Gonzalez will discuss the story of Philip and the Ethiopian with the children. We will continue to sing our Jesus time songs and pray before snack and lunch.
