Welcome to the last week of April. Where is this year going?? I hope everyone had a great time on Friday at the Aquarium. Our next big outing will be our class picnic on June 2, more details to follow.
This week out topic in our Nature All Around Us unit is “Our Weather”. We will read Little Cloud, Mommy’s Little Star, and ABC I Like Me. Our vocabulary will be: lightening, thunderstorm, sun, moon, sky, and stars.
For math this week we will continue working in our counting by 10s book and learn the numbers 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. We will also continue to practice simple addition problems.
In Jesus time we will read about Philip and the Ethiopian. We will also visit chapel on Wednesday. We are learning two new fun songs for our end of the year program as well.
Our letter for this week is Zz. We will practice writing the letter Zz, make a list of Zz words, and have Zz show and tell on Friday.
Our sight words for this week will be: red, blue, and yellow.
This Friday the 28th is Arbor Day. We will talk about planting trees and plant lemon seeds to grow our own lemon trees.
