For this short week, after much review and a quiz on poetic terms, we will officially begin our poetry unit.
Grade 6 will read a Shel Silverstien poem entitiled One Inch Tall and will write their own poems envisioning thier life as 15 feet tall.
Grade 7 will read Oranges by Gary Soto and will be discussing imagery and how language use awakens the senses.
Grade 8 will be looking at A Road Less Traveled and will discuss figurative verse literal laguage used by the poet.
