Happy Palm Sunday and welcome to Holy Week. This week we will talk about Easter during Jesus time, both his death and resurrection and we will also visit chapel on Wednesday. We have learned some new Easter songs and have completed learning the Lord’s Prayer. We will learn a new prayer for April for and lunch time: Thank you God for food and prayer, teach us how to love and share. Amen.
Our letter for this short week will be Xx. We will practice writing the letter X and since there are only 2 words that we use that start with X, we will also talk about how x ends words more commonly. For show and tell students can bring in something that starts or ends with X.
For math this week we will begin to work on some simple addition problems.
We will not cover a unit in our Big Day this week since it is a short week. Our ELA lessons will focus on stories about Jesus and Easter.
Reminders:
School will be closed from April 6-16 for Easter Break. School resumes on April 17. That Friday, April 21 is our trip to the Long Island Aquarium. Please make sure permission slips and payment are in by this Wednesday April 5.
