Black History Month- we continue to share books written and/or illustrated by Black Americans.
We read Change Sings by poet Amanda Gorman. This beautifully illustrated story shows how a young girl has the power to change the world through her actions with others, and in turn, inspires others to make a positive difference in the world.
This week we read How to Read a Book by poet Kwame Alexander. We enjoyed how he compared reading to eating an orange! We found the collage illustrations by Melissa Sweet both interesting and colorful!
Social Studies Lesson: Earth’s Land and Water vocabulary-landform, ocean, continent, globe
The Story of Snow
