I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and hopefully restful break! We are excited to begin learning again in 2023!
Joke of the Week: What’s a cow’s favorite night of the year?
Language Arts- This week we will begin Unit 4 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, What do people use to do their jobs? We will read, Whose Shoes? A Shoe for Every Job. We will learn a new sight word “you” and we will focus on the letter Oo and its long and short sound. We will continue blending sounds to make a word and identifying the end and middle sounds in CVC words. In grammar, we will be learning about describing words- adjectives- and how we can describe things using those words.
Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be identifying beginning, ending and middle sounds to CVC words.
Math- This week we begin Module 6 – Put Together and Take Apart Within 5.
Math Centers- We will practice addition and subtraction problems.
Jesus Time- We will continue to read Ms. Vollono’s children’s Bible and read all the wonderful stories about Jesus and the powerful impact he had while on Earth! We will also watch videos and do activities to reinforce what we have read.
Science: This week we will continue to discuss why and which animals hibernate and migrate.
