This is our last full week of classes before Christmas break! We have quite a bit to do, so here are the updates for this week.
6th Religion
The students will be taking their test on Unit 2 on Thursday, December 15th. There is no memory verse this week.
6th Social Studies
This week the students will be working on research projects on Ancient Indian kings. They will also have a quiz on Lessons 1-4 of Topic 4 on Friday, December 16th. They will complete a mini review this week to prepare.
7th Religion
This week we will start learning about Martin Luther and how his story parallels biblical figures. There is no memory verse this week.
7th Social Studies
In social studies this week, the students will be working on research projects on African Americans of the Revolutionary War Era. They will present the projects to the class on Friday, December 16th.
8th Religion
This week we will begin studying the Book of Judges. We will study Deborah and Gideon. The memory verse for this week is Joshua 1:9.
8th Social Studies
On Friday, we began studying the Progressive Era. This week the students will learn about immigration, urbanization, and the rise of Progressive social and political reforms. We will continue to study the Progressive Era when we return from Christmas break in January.
