Hello December, we cannot believe you are here! Our classroom is so nicely decorated and our elf Snowflake Buddy or SB as joined our classroom! We will be making so many fun Christmas crafts and ornaments. The children were wonderful helpers putting up our Christmas tree!
Joke of the Week: Why does everyone love Frosty the Snowman?
Language Arts- This week we continue Unit 3 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, What are the different sounds we hear? We will read, Clang! Clang! Beep! Beep! Listen to the City. We will learn a new sight word- “and” and we will focus on the letter Nn, blending sounds to make a word and identifying the end sounds in words. In grammar, we will continue to create correct sentences making sure the first letter is capitalized, finger spaces, and a period.
Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be creating correct sentences and determining the ending sounds to words.
Math- This week we will continue Chapter 5 – Add to and Take From Within 5.
Math Centers- We will practice addition and subtraction problems.
Jesus Time- We will continue to read our Children’s Beginner Bible Stories that they love and watch videos on the stories we read to follow-up on what we read and understand each story a little more and talk more about the reason for Christmas!
Social Studies: We will discuss and watch videos on Christmas and the different ways people celebrate.
Science: This week we will continue to discuss why animals hibernate and migrate.
