Last week we started discussing the season of fall. We enjoyed learning about the changes the season brings. This week we will explore the colorful leaves falling from the trees and learn more about the types, life cycles and the importance of trees. We will graph leaves by color and create some beautiful works of art using leaves.
Learning centers this week will include natural forest materials in the Sensory Center, sorting manipulative bears by fall colors in the STEM center, alphabet letter Ll work boards and leaf story books in the Literacy center and we have a doctor’s office in the Dramatic Play Center. We are proud to announce that we have successfully grown baby apple trees from the seeds we picked out of the apples we ate back in September. We will observe them as they grow in the STEM center as well.
