We had a fun week listening to silly, spooky stories.  We read the book, “Glad Monster, Sad Monster” by Ed Emberley & Anne Miranda.  After reading the book, we discussed how sometimes we feel happy, sad, angry and some things to help us with our feelings.  We also made some silly monster crafts.

Next week we will learn about the season of Autumn.  We will discuss how the leaves on trees turn colors in Autumn and eventually fall.  We will explore nature by going on a leaf hunt.  The children will make fun leaf projects, an acorn, scarecrow and other fun fall crafts.  We will read the book “The Scarecrow” by Beth Ferry and The Fan Brothers, “Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn” by Kenard Pak, and “Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf” by Lois Ehlert.

For our math lesson this week, the students will be counting and sorting with turkeys.  They will be learning color and number identification and sorting.

During Jesus Time, we will talk about the things that we are grateful for. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love lasts forever.  Psalm 118:1
