Last week our class enjoyed a week of fun apple activities. We learned all about apples and even enjoyed making our own applesauce. The children have all made a smooth and happy transition to being in nursery school! We are going to have a great year together!
This week we will explore “Transportation” and ask the question of the class, “How do you get to school?” We will explore different modes of transportation including walking, biking, cars, buses and trains. We will begin by graphing and counting “How we get to school?” It will make for a very interesting discussion I’m sure. From there we will explore transportation safety, the basic shapes, letter Cc, design our own vehicles, and learn some new songs including “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Driving My Car.” We plan to take a little trip out to the Trinity Lutheran school bus to discuss school bus safety and sing some singing bus driver songs. We will conclude with a fun STEM challenge – “Engineering a bridge that supports a toy car.”
Jesus time this week will focus on the story of creation. We will learn how God created all of creation with great love. Songs include “My God Is So Great” and “The B-I-B-L-E.”
