Due to the TerraNova Exams, this week’s work load will be much lighter and there will not be any spelling homework.
Next week is Sprit Week! The days we will be participating in are:
Tuesday: Book Character Day
Wednesday: Dress Your Best
Friday: Color Day (Second Grade is Green!)
Here’s a look at what we will be learning this week!
Math– We will continue to work on measurement through Module 2. The students will be determining when to use a ruler instead of a meter stick. They will also continue to solve problems where measurement is involved.
Reading- We will continue to read Herbie’s Slippers in class. The students will be bringing their slippers home at the end of the week. Next week there will be a test on this story.
Science- We will be reviewing Chapter 2 on Animals in preparation for our test next week. The students will be making vocabulary flash cards for the chapter.
Social Studies- The students are working hard on their “Me on the Map” projects. This project helps them distinguish between city, state, country, continent etc.
Religion- We will be reading the story of “The Golden Calf’.
