We are winding down and the summer is in sight with just days left to go of the 2021-2022 school year! I would like to take a moment to thank you all; you have helped support these children in so many different ways at home. As a teacher, your support is vital. I could not do it alone.
All fourteen children I have grown to know and love. Together we’ve traveled through their second grade days, growing and learning. They have grown in so many ways! I congratulate each and every one of these special children for they have worked hard.
I find that the end of a school year is bittersweet. I know the second graders are excited and eager to put their pencils down, take a deep breath of summer air and spend their days doing things they normally do not do during the school months. But it is also the end of a time spent together. Whatever summer might mean for you and your families, it is a shift in our regular schedules, hopefully for the better, to allow for more time for relaxing, fun, freedom, and learning in different ways…This “shift” for second graders means an end to a year of memories for them, but also looking forward to new beginnings in third grade.
With that said, I wish you all a very peaceful summer, hopefully filled with days of sun and time well spent with your children. They tend to grow up fast so make sweet memories with them in the days ahead!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your children, for it has been a pleasure. I adore them all.
God bless,
Antonia Ryan
