We have an exciting week planned ahead! This week we will be focusing on the following topics in each subject listed below. As a reminder, school not in session from Thusday May 26th to May 30th. Enjoy the long weekend!!

ELA-  This week we will be finishing our class discussion and characterization of Fudge and Peter from our last read-aloud. We will also be reading a short story called, Summer of Terror from scholastic storyworks about shark attacks. There will be an open-book vocabulary quiz on Wednesday with vocabulary from this short text. 

Math- This week we will finish Chapter 12, Units of Measurement. As always, the Reteach and HW pages will be available on Google Classroom. Splash Learning is a great tool to help practice and review math skills, and has a great feature to help students practice their fact fluency at home. Please continue to work with your child on fact fluency. The math quiz will be on 6-1 and the test will be on 6-2. 

Social Studies- This week in S.S. We will finish chapter 6, Social Change and the Civil War. 

Science- We will continue our unit, Energizing Everything. We will continue learning about the different types of Energy. There will be a short science vocabulary quiz on Wednesday 5-25 talking about the different types of energy. 

Religion- This week we will continue Unit 7 from our Religion Book. Jesus Teaches and Performs Miracles (The Parable of the Sower – Jesus Raises Lazarus)
