Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: soon, new, noon, zoo, boot, too, moon, blew, soup, you, earth, ready. The children will write their 12 spelling words 3x each and write 6 sentences due by Thursday. Encourage your child to be creative! Their writing skills have grown so much! Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- oo, ou, ew, ue
Language Arts- indefinite pronouns
Reading: We will read the story, A Tree is a Plant. The children will read the story again at home. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
Math- We have started chapter 9 and will be measuring classroom objects using non standard measuring tools (tiles, paper clips) so we will be doing most of the measuring in class. There will not be math homework every night this week.
Science- life cycles
Social Studies- American Heroes
Weekly Reader- Are You my Mother?
Religion- Jesus Saves
Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday!
